Google has officially unveiled their newest Nexus line up and their newest version of Android today.
In the phone department, we have the Nexus 6: a 5.9 inch phablet. The full specifications are pretty much what we expected:
- 92 inch QHD display @ 1440 x 2560 pixels
- Quad Core Snapdragon 805 processor
- 13 MP rear camera with OIS
- 1 front facing camera
- Running Android, 5.0 Lollipop
- Dual Front facing speakers

No word on the price or release date yet for the European market but strong rumours suggest that the price could start from $649 in the U.S. Pre orders begin the U.S. at the end of October. As soon as we have some concrete news for the E.U we’ll let you all know.
Next up we have the HTC Nexus 9. Made by HTC the Nexus 9 is a super sleek and sexy update to the Nexus 7 line. Here’s the quick spec sheet:
- 9 inch QXGA Display at 2048 x 1536
- 64 bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor
- 8 MP Rear Camera
- 6 Front Camera
- Android 5 Lollipop

Details of the Nexus 9 in Europe are also very sketchy. But you can be sure we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
And finally with Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google has brought their biggest update to Android since Ice Cream Sandwich with an all we look and feel called Material Design. Lollipop ships with over 5,000 new API’s for developers to take advantage of. That’s way more than I can write about so for more details can be found here…
